Walker Community Action Alliance will be hosting our Annual Walker Firewise
Preparedness Day on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Walker Fire
Station.
This is an important event for our community—not just informational, but
a key part of maintaining our Firewise USA® status. If you live in Walker,
this directly impacts your property, your safety, and increasingly, your
ability to obtain and keep insurance.

• Jeep Posse support overview – Ron Jakola
• Firewise grant opportunities – Tim McFarlan

• Learn how to protect your property and reduce wildfire risk
• Sign up for a free Firewise property assessment
• Get access to potential grant funding for mitigation work
