We had the very rare experience of hearing sirens this afternoon.

A 4 wheel UTV misjudged a turn and rolled into a ravine between Walker Road and New Strike.

Walker Fire Department was on scene, along with Yavapai County Sheriff.

Neighbors passing by saw the accident happen and helped pull the driver from the vehicle, then went to call 911.

Another neighbor happened upon it a few minutes later and sat with the driver to wait for help to arrive.

It was an exciting Sunday afternoon in Walker, and a reminder to be careful out there.

I’m glad I live in a place where neighbors look out for each other.

Big thanks to Walker Fire for being there to take care of the community.
