Join us on Saturday, August 30th, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. for this year’s
annual Firefighter Appreciation Day!

This year’s theme is Luau – so be sure to wear your Walker Fire
Hawaiian shirts and come ready to celebrate island-style!

This special day brings our community together at the Walker Fire Station
to show our gratitude to all those who volunteer and serve with the Walker
Fire Protection Association. Please remember that everyone who supports and
protects our community is a volunteer—there are no paid positions. Our
firefighters dedicate countless hours to classes, tests, training,
maintaining and improving equipment, managing the station, and responding
to calls throughout Walker, Potato Patch, and Mountain Pine Acres. We also
extend a heartfelt thank-you to their families, who give up valuable time
together so these volunteers can serve the community.

We’ll be serving our traditional pig roast with sides including potato
salad, beans, bread rolls, and dessert—all provided by WFPA. While the
food is free, we kindly ask for donations to help offset costs to the fire
department. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to host a potluck at the
station.

Wine & Beer will be served – Ticket for 2 drinks: $12.00
(Limit one ticket per person. Must be 21 or older.)

The Walker Merchandise team will also be set up with all their great items
for sale, with proceeds supporting WFPA. Be sure to stop by their tent and
check out the merchandise—they’ll even be offering some special sales.

This is our biggest event of the year—come out, wear your Hawaiian gear,
and show your support for those who give their all for our community!

We look forward to seeing you Saturday, August 30th!
