Board Elections
This year, three board seats are up for election.

In accordance with the Association bylaws, nominations will also be
accepted from the floor during the meeting. There will be time for members
to ask questions of the candidates—so come prepared!

The WFPA Board consists of seven total positions, each serving a two-year
term. Three are elected one year, and four the next.

This year, three candidates are running to fill the available board
positions.

Meet the Candidates

Lance Gilbert – Running for Re-Election

I’ve been part of the Walker community since 2010 and have served as WFPA
Treasurer since 2019. I’m also proud to serve as a volunteer firefighter
for Walker.
With over 40 years of business experience, I’ve worked hard to support
the fire department’s mission and ensure responsible stewardship of our
community’s donations.
As the needs and regulations for fire departments continue to evolve, I
remain committed to staying informed and helping guide the WFPA
accordingly.
Thank you,
Lance Gilbert
Treasurer, WFPA

Marti Mahoney – Running for Re-Election
I’ve had the honor of serving as Secretary on the WFPA Board for the past
two years. I also help with WFPA Merchandise Sales, assisting Karen
Gonzales and the team for the past eight years—a role that’s allowed me
to meet and connect with many Walker residents.
My husband Shawn and I have been part of the Walker community since 2012. I
bring over 45 years of experience in the construction industry, where
I’ve worked as an estimator and project manager.
I would be honored to continue supporting the WFPA Board and contributing
to our fire department’s success.
Thank you,
Marti Mahoney
Secretary, WFPA

Bill Good – Running for Election
I was introduced to Walker back in 1975 by friends Rudy and Kathy Erdmann,
when Walker Road was still a dirt road beyond the cattle guard. Four years
ago, I purchased my own home on Golden Fleece and became a full-time
resident.
Now retired from careers in both construction and ministry, I spend my time
as an author and speaker.
As I’ve gotten involved—volunteering at WFPA events and lending a hand
when needed—I’ve felt increasingly called to serve on the WFPA Board
and contribute my skills to our community.
Thank you,
Bill Good
